Open from 9 am to 1:30 pm, it\u2019s a great place to buy typical top-quality local products such as Idiazabal cheese, farmhouse bread, honey, Basque cake and Gernika\u2019s delicious peppers, not to mention lots of other seasonal vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background\">\n<li><strong>Come in mid-morning:<\/strong> it\u2019s the best time to enjoy the market, when all the stalls are set up and the atmosphere is at its liveliest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Take a gourmet break:<\/strong> treat yourself to a cheese pintxo, a simple and delicious way to discover local products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>If you\u2019re arriving by car:<\/strong> we recommend parking at the <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/6sfGWhNbc6Xy25v86\">Santana car park<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/eextQQkicZuYUeJ37\">Urbieta\u2013Los Tilos<\/a> car park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve got the shopping in, a pit stop at a terrace to recharge your batteries is just the ticket! Treat yourself to a <strong>delicious <em>pintxo<\/em><\/strong>, always washed down with a <strong>glass of <em>txakoli<\/em> from Gernika or the surrounding region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit the <strong>Casa de Juntas (the Assembly House) and the Tree of Gernika<\/strong> to learn all about our history and our roots, taking time to admire the magnificent stained glass window and the plenary hall.
