Who we are

Our website address is: https://gernikainfo.eus.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comments form and, to help to detect spam, we collect the visitor’s IP address and their browser’s user-agent string.

We may submit an anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public within the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images that contain location data (GPS EXIF). Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience - it means that you will not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will install a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted once you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also install a number of cookies to store your login information and screen display options. Login cookies last for two days while screen display cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember me”, your login will remain active for two weeks. If you log out of your account, these login cookies will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data; it merely indicates the ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had actually visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including the tracking of your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account with and are logged in to that website.

Who do we share your data with?

If you ask us to reset your password, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long do we keep your data for?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that we can recognise and approve subsequent comments automatically, rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.

In the case of users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time. The only thing they cannot do is change their username. Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What are your data rights?

If you have an account or you have left comments on this website, you may request to receive an export file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you may have provided to us. You can also ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where do we send your data?

Visitor comments may be reviewed by an automated spam detection service.
